About us

VELHEM started with a simple frustration: too many home stores selling the same things, from the same places, at the same prices. We wanted objects with a point of view — things that felt considered rather than convenient.

We are a Malta-based curated home brand. Everything we carry is sourced from independent European studios, ateliers and design houses that still make things properly. The kind of makers who have been doing this for decades, who care about material and finish and whether the object will still look right in fifteen years. We travel, we source, we edit. The things we don't believe in don't make it through.

What we carry

Our collection spans handcrafted ceramics — terracotta vases, organic bowls and sculptural objects made with genuine craft — to the artisan glassware and decorative pieces.

We don't stock everything. We stock what we believe in.

The Malta connection

We are based in Malta — a small island with a long tradition of appreciating good craftsmanship and beautiful objects. We deliver across Malta and Gozo, and we welcome visitors to see the pieces in person. There is something that photographs cannot quite convey about the weight of a terracotta vase or the glaze on a piece of stoneware. We encourage you to come and handle things before you decide.

Our promise

We will never chase a trend. We will never stock something we wouldn't put in our own home. And we will always be honest about what something is, where it comes from, and how to look after it.
